What are the acceptable forms of documentation?

Depending on the situation and what we need to verify your eligibility for a loan, we may ask for different documentation. Please always refer to your email for information on what our Advocate team is specifically requesting from you.

Accepted forms of SSN documentation:

  • Social Security card
  • Most recent W-2 (issued within the last 2 years) showing your full SSN
  • Most recent 1099 (issued within the last 2 years) showing your full SSN

Accepted forms of ID documentation*:

  • State ID
  • Driver's License
  • Permanent Resident Card
  • U.S. Passport

Your form of ID should be a valid, unexpired government-issued ID. Your full name, date of birth, and expiration date should be clearly visible on the submitted document.

*If the mailing address on your ID does not match what was submitted during registration or you are submitting a passport, please provide proof of address, such as your lease agreement, recent utility bill (issued within the last 90 days), most recent bank statement, pay stub, or other proof of income.

Accepted forms of proof of income:

  • Most recent benefit/award letter
  • Most recent pay stub
  • Most recent 1099 or W-2 (issued within the last 2 years)

Alimony, child support, or separate maintenance income need not be revealed if you do not wish to have it considered as a basis for your ability to repay.
